Two Stations for Two Munros

Carn Dearg and Sgor Gaibhre are placed perfectly for a linear hike. This simply means starting and finishing in different places. Linear hikes are often the most rewarding hikes but can be a pain in the behind logistically. For this route, the trains solve the logistical issues! We'll start at Rannoch Station and climb Carn Dearg. This is a relatively simple walk and the views across Rannoch Moor are fabulous. We'll then hop over to Sgor Gaibhre before dropping down to the head of Loch Ossian. We'll walk along the loch to reach Corrour Station where we can hop on the train back to Rannoch. All being well, we'll arrive in time for a delicious cake from the Station House!
