About the event

This is an epic for those seeking a challenge!

6 Munros: Sgurr Choinnich, Sgurr a'Chaorachain, Moruisg, Maoile Lunndaidh, Bidein a' Choire Sheasgaich and Lurg Mhor.

2 Corbetts, Beinn Tharsuinn and Sgurr nan Ceannaichean.

The Loch Monar Munros are hidden away in the area south of Achnashellach, east of Attadale at the west end of Loch Monar. This cluster of hills usually take multiple trips to access them. On this trip, we will tackle them all anti-clockwise starting and finishing at Craig, Achnashellach, near to the famous Gerry's Hostel.

Day 1: We'll hike out to Lurg Mhor and Sheasgaich via Beinn Tharsuinn (Corbett) before we drop down to the lochside to camp for the evening.

Day 2: Starting with  a steep ascent from camp onto Sgurr Choinnich, we'll continue over Sgurr a' Chaorachain then out to Maoile Lunndaidh. After these three fine three summits we will push on to Glenuaig where we will camp.

Day 3: Our final day finishes with Moruisg and Sgurr nan Ceannaichean (Corbett) then back to the start point.

We've graded this adventure as black as it is very remote, very long and very steep. It will be a stiff test of your fitness, stamina and resolve. We will be out for three days, carrying all our equipment to be self-sufficient and wild camping on the way. As we're early in the season the dreaded midge shouldn't quite be with us yet but the days a little shorter and cooler so pack be sure to pack your warm clothes.

A hugely rewarding trip, well worth the effort. If in any doubt as to your fitness or if you need a loan of some kit, tent, sleeping bag, stove, as ever, get in touch before booking for a chat.
