The Grey Corries

The Grey Corries plus Stob Ban is an excellent day out and is consistently one of our most popular adventures.

We start with a long walk in to tiny Stob Ban and descend steeply to the lochains at the head of Coire Rach. From here it's a steep haul up the south spur to the summit of Stob Choire Claurigh. The hard work is now over. The rest of the route follows the ridge to Stob Coire an Laoigh before heading to the outlier of Sgurr Choinnich Mor. This hill has a relatively low bealach and steep sides meaning some hands on my be needed. The walk out is long but at this time of year there are amazing things to find in the forest. Previously groups have spotted foxes, eagles and some porcini mushrooms!
