The Clachlet Traverse

The Black Mount Munros are a fabulous pair usually walked as a circular route from Victoria Bridge. It's a lovely route but the descent can be challenging in wet weather. There is a way to avoid this though - by continuing north and linking up with Creise and Meall a'Bhuiridh. We'll meet at the Glen Coe Mountain Resort to organise car sharing to the start point of the walk at Victoria Bridge. The ascent to Stob a'Choire Odhair is on a good path and the views from the summit are incredible. You don't realise how vast Rannoch Moor is until you see it from here. We then continue on to Stob Gabhar crossing a ridge named on the map as "Aonach Eagach". This puts a lot of people off as it conjures images of another ridge with the same name.
