About the event
Slioch stands alone as an iconic and instantly recognisable shape erupting from the shores of Loch Maree. It's a beautiful hill with a fantastic view across to the Fisherfields and the coast. It was Cat's last Munro and it did not disappoint!
The walk in is around an hours walk along Loch Maree so your legs will be warmed up when we start the climb. It's steep but you're rewarded quickly by the views south across Loch Maree. For maximum effect, we'll aim to complete a circular walk around the edge of the impressive Coire na Sleaghaich taking in the summit of Slioch and the Munro top of Sgurr an Tuill Bhain. This is a real cracker and not to be missed.
We've graded this adventure red because it's a fairly long walk with some rough and rocky terrain.
