Lochnagar and the White Mounth Munros

A long day taking in all five Munros of The White Mounth, including Lochnagar, Carn a' Choire Bhoidheach, Carn an t-Sagairt Mor, Cairn Bannoch and Broad Cairn. Lochnagar is a true icon which never fails to impress.

The classic, traditional big circular route of the White Mounth. A challenging day, yes, but really only due to the distance and requirement for precise navigation on the plateau if caught in low cloud. There's not a huge amount of descent and re-ascent between these five Munros, just over 1,200m total for the whole day and most of that on the initial ascent! It's more about pacing yourself over the distance.

Fitness and stamina for a 30 km day are key to you really getting the most out of this one, please be confident you achieve the distance. As always, get in touch prior to booking to discuss any concerns about managing the day.
