About the event
Navigation is by far the most liberating skill you can learn. The world really becomes your oyster and Scotland's mountains become your playground.
Get started by joining us for a 6 hour workshop designed to help you get on your way to leading your own adventures.
This one day course covers the fundamental skills required to get out and exploring. These include recognising the information on an OS map, relating map features to the ground, using the map (and compass) to check your direction of travel and estimating time/distance, and route planning.
This course is 6 hours long and will be based outdoors. Although distances covered aren't far you will need to be comfortable being on your feet all day and carrying everything you need for the day.
