Ciste Dubh

Ciste Dhubh is partially hidden behind the Corbett Am Bathach. This is the pointy mountain seen from the front door of the Cluanie Inn. It is a fantastic ridge line and a lovely walk. It's also one of the few hills in this stunning area that is suitable for beginners.

The Cluanie Inn is the perfect start\finish for this walk as the path up Am Bathach is just over 1 km along the road and the return path from Ciste Dhubh, depending on which side of the river you prefer, ends in the car park!

We will ascend steeply up the grassy hillside, then along the narrow ridge to reach Ciste Dhubh.

We'll grab a coffee/cake in the Cluanie Inn or bakery to end the day.

We've graded this adventure blue because it is suitable for beginners but is still encounters some rough terrain.
