Cairngorm & Ben MacDui via Fiacaill Ridge

The rolling hills of the Cairngorm Plateau aren't normally associated with scrambling but their friendly shape, makes them a perfect venue to learn the skills required for scrambling without the unavoidable exposure found in other areas. We'll ascend to the Cairngorm Plateau via Fiacaill Ridge. Don't read too much about this ridge. You'll find as many accounts that claim it's a death defying and exposed route as you will people claiming it's easy and hardly a scramble at all. The reason for this is simple - it provides challenge by choice. You can make the route as difficult as you like making it the perfect place to learn skills and build confidence.
