Linn o' Dee
About the event
These are remote mountains that make for a long day whichever way you go. Approaching from the Linn o' Dee makes it possible to mountain bike (fairly) easily for a large chunk of the route. The track is good and is suitable for mountain bikes (or a gravel bike if you're confident). E-bikes are always welcome. We cycle along to the White Bridge and then past the new Red House Bothy eventually arriving at the ruins of the former Geldie Lodge. We'll chain our bikes up here and continue around the hills on foot. The hills themselves are quite rounded and featureless but they give good views across Perthshire and the Cairngorms. They feel really remote which makes it a good day overall.
Rough Route Stats
Distance: 43km (26km cycle)
Ascent: 950m (150m on bikes)
We've graded this adventure as red because even with bikes this is a huge day.…
