The two Munros of Sgorr Dhonuill and Sgorr Dhearg ascended via Schoolhouse Ridge is a classic mountain day. These elegant hills are just outside Glen Coe and take on a much more regular and angular shape than the surrounding mountains.

About the event
Sgorr Dhonuill and Sgorr Dhearg form the more well known group of Beinn a'Bheithir. These elegant hills are just outside Glen Coe and take on a much more regular shape than the surrounding mountains. The most interesting way up is via the famous "Schoolhouse Ridge." which gives some easy scrambling and stunning views of the hills ahead.Â
The views are magnificent and include the coast to the west and mountains in every direction.Â
We've graded this walk as red. Although the route is realtively short at just over 15km but there is almost 1400m of ascent packed into that distance making for some steep ascents. There is also some short sections of scrambling, most of which have an easier alternative.
